Chris Thomas and The Blue Dragons Masters Team went back to training last night and it was great to see so many familiar faces after such a long lay off.

And delighted to see more players joining the squad for the coming season.

Idris Evans sure put the lads through their paces on what was a hot and sticky evening, no doubt there are a few aches today - looking forward to next weeks session already!

It has been a long time coming - The Cardiff Blue Dragons are back at The Nest!

As a club, we have been preparing hard behind the scenes, working closely with our fellow Community Clubs and Wales Rugby League to get the teams safely back on the pitch.

This weekend saw our Mini Dragon Camp kick off the first of the training sessions and it was amazing to see so many boys and girls back at HQ!
After players were signed in, temperatures were taken and the kids were raring to go, the coaching team had planned a morning of fun and games ahead of them!

The U16s Boys Team were up next and as the temperature was increasing so did the tempo on the training paddock. The squad looked great as they were put through a combination of fitness and skill drills by their coaches, the boys hunger to be back showed in the intensity and enthusiasm they showed.

As the afternoon came round, so did the U12s. With 16 new players joining returning members of the squad for their 1st training session of the new season - the future ahead for them looks very promising.

Rounding off the day was the Development Squad and Seniors, both teams under new coaching staff and the squad being bolstered by some new recruits, the lads trained hard to impress all.

Following them closely was Geraint Nicholas of Valleyboy Pics Photography

Geraint will be working closely with the club this season, capturing all the action.
